THE SOCIAL MEDIA INTENSIVE WITH JOSEPH MASSIE

Welcome to the Social Media Intensive With Joseph Massie.

With nearly 20 million views last year, and 400,000 followers across his platforms, Joseph knows a thing or two about social media and content creation, and The Social Media Intensive is designed for participants to learn Joseph’s approach to building reach, engagement and connection with your audience. This course will be led by Joseph, with additional support from our school tutors.

Across our days together, you’ll learn Joseph’s unique methods of how to build your following from the ground up - everything from initially picking your platforms, starting your account, and his tried and true strategies to ensure you’re set up for success. Joseph will share his wider process of aligning your social media content with your brand and audience, and show how he plans his own content calendar to support and further goals across his multiple brands. Following a period of theory, Joseph will then demonstrate exactly how he captures content for his own brands, and show you his step by step process for editing the content captured live in the classroom, turning it into a vertical video to be utilised across his own social media.

In the afternoon, we will provide a selection of flowers, foliages and vessels, and you’ll have the opportunity to create a design of your choosing, filming and editing your design alongside Joseph, leaving with one piece of video content for you to use in your own business.

Session One : Theory - Marketing Basics alignment, branding, building a consumer profile
Session Two : Theory - Social Media, platforms, tools, types of post, best practices
Lunch - 12:30pm - 1:00pm
Session Three : Live demonstration for Content Creation - filming and editing - 1pm - 2:30pm
Hands On Session - Individual Projects - 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Feedback & Q&A Session - 4:30pm - 5:00pm

In our hands on session, you'll be provided with a selection of vessels, sundries and flowers, and will have the opportunity to create a unique floral design, to film, edit and produce a piece of vertical video content (commonly known as a Reel). As with all of our courses, we’ll be working with the season’s best materials, including British grown flowers and foliages, sourced directly from our local growing partners when the season allows. A range of mechanics will be explored across the course, including both foam free and foam based techniques, with a focus on using each method appropriately and responsibly.Class size is kept to a maximum of ten students to create a calm and focused environment, with plenty of tutor to student interaction.
All basic tools will be provided.
